MasterChef’s Gregg: Make 007 slaphead

GREGG Wallace wants the next James Bond to be a slaphead.

The MasterChef star, 56, reckons there aren’t enough baldies in TV shows and films.

He said: “I have a bald head and glasses and that’s quite unusual on TV at the moment.

“I’d love to see more bald guys on TV. Our television is far too hair-ist!

“And I think it’s about time we had a bald James Bond.

“That’s what I’m holding out for.”

Gregg is one of just a handful of bald men on primetime TV – with Harry Hill and Dominic Littlewood among the best known.

But the look has worked wonders for Gregg and even made him a sex symbol.

He said: “It’s my look. And my look doesn’t change. It’s the bald head and glasses.

“I have women flirting with me. If you’re on the television, you’ve got to accept that’s an occupational hazard.”

Gregg is back with a new series of MasterChef tomorrow at 9pm on BBC One.
