‘Extra time’ drug hopes

-

THOUSANDS of women with incurable breast cancer will benefit from a new life-extending drug on the NHS.

The drugs regulator has approved the use of ribociclib, also known as Kisqali, which can extend life by eight months.

It is available through the NHS to anyone who needs it.

Baroness Delyth Morgan, from charity Breast Cancer Now, said the drug would bring women “hope of precious extra time to live well”.
