THESE stunning images show lava spewing from a volcano in the Indian Ocean yesterday.

Piton de la Fournaise, or “Peak of the Furnace”, on the French island La Reunion is one of the most active in the world. Eruptions were also pictured a day earlier on Iceland’s Mount Fagradalsfjall and La Soufriere on the eastern Caribbean island of St Vincent.
