Lemon show gets squeezed
KEITH Lemon’s sewing series has been axed by Channel 4.
The funnyman, left, launched The Fantastical Factory Of Curious Craft last spring.
It was a hit with fans and featured guests including Mel B and Martin Kemp – but bosses decided not to commission another run.
A TV source said: “The show had all the ingredients of a hit.
“It was a similar format to The Great British Bake Off.
“It wasn’t a complete flop, but it wasn’t a massive success either. Bosses at Channel 4 decided not to go ahead with a second series.
“They want to invest in new formats instead.”
The decision is a blow for Keith, real name Leigh Francis.
It marked new territory for him to front a family show because he wasn’t making the lewd jokes he is known for.
When it launched, he said: “People will see a different side of me on this show.”
Channel 4 did not respond to our requests for comment.
