THE pubs re-open in England tomorrow and I feel I should support my local.

It’s a five-minute walk from my house to the pub, but it’s a 30-minute walk back. The difference is staggering.

It reminds me of when an old boss came home drunk one night and his wife was furious.

“How much have you had to drink?” she asked. “Look at me! It’s either me or the pub. Which one is it?”

He paused for a second, then mumbled: “It’s you… I can tell by the voice.”
