Marshall amps up pressure
RICHARD MARSHALL relished watching Salford thrash Championship side Widnes after two disappointing Super League defeats.
But he warned his Red Devils not to bask in this one-sided Challenge Cup victory for long.
Marshall (below) said: “The challenge is to do it every week.
“We scored some wonderful points.
“But we conceded just before halftime which I’m not happy about because that is a recurring theme.”
Salford led 24-4 at the break with Matt Costello’s brace, plus one each from Morgan Escare and Tui Lolohea.
Dec Patton, Andy Ackers, Seb Ikahihifo, Kallum Watkins, Jack Ormondroyd, Rhys Williams, Chris Atkins and Escare again added further tries. Krisnan Inu kicked 10 goals.
