LUIZ DEAL WON’T BE WRECKED BY INJURY

DAVID LUIZ’S Arsenal future will be resolved in the summer – that is the message from boss Mikel Arteta as the Brazilian defender’s current contract ends in June.

Luiz, 33 (right) is out with a knee injury and could miss the rest of the campaign after minor surgery last week. But Arteta insists that will not influence whether the club extend the former Chelsea man’s stay by another 12 months. The Spaniard said: “We said that at the end of the season we will make a decision on those types of contracts.”
