Pacific Rim: Uprising

Although not as impressive as the original film in the sci-fi franchise, there is a lot to enjoy about this sequel, including the performance of John Boyega. He plays the son of the first movie’s hero, who proves he’s a chip off the old block when giant monsters wreak havoc. An animated spin-off, Pacific Rim: The Black, is now available on Netflix. ★★★
