In For A Penny

The latest run of Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway ended recently, which must have left Stephen Mulhern at a loose end – but not for long. His ITV bosses, clearly keen to get their money’s worth, are putting him to work on a new series of his hit show.

For the uninitiated, each edition sees him turn up at a different destination where he sets some of the locals bizarre challenges – they stand to win a cash prize if they complete them successfully.

With lockdown restrictions, there can’t have been too many people around to take part when he turned up in such places as Torquay, Cambridge, Chester, Barry Island, Blackpool and Southampton. Nevertheless, Mulhern gets the ball rolling in Sheffield with a variety of hilarious games.
