A GRIEVING woman says her brother’s murderer deserves the death penalty.

Rachel Bush’s life was torn apart when millionaire jeweller Andy Bush was killed by his exgirlfriend Mayka Kukucova at his home on the Costa del Sol.

Now she says she wishes capital punishment was still legal. Rachel said: “I’ve lost my brother, who was my best friend.

“She didn’t just destroy her own life and her family’s life, she’s changed our lives forever.

“It’s a shame it wasn’t in America in a state where if you take a life then your life gets taken, because that’s what would make me feel that’s proper justice. In my eyes, she doesn’t deserve to live.”

Kukucova, then 29, shot dad-of-one Andy, 48, during a row over his new girlfriend.

Rachel had warned Andy, from Bristol, that Kukucova had a dark side.

She said: “I could tell their relationship was a bit rocky. I said to him, ‘If you are splitting up, you need to watch your back, because she is not right.’ And I’ll never forget I said that to him. “She’s a pretty girl, but to me she’s ugly, couldn’t get no uglier, because she’s got the ugliest personality on this earth. All she was interested in was money.”

After murdering Andy in April 2014, Kukucova went on the run before handing herself in to police in her homeland Slovakia.

She was extradited to Spain and convicted of murder in May 2016. A judge sentenced her to 15 years and six months in prison. That was later cut to 13 years and nine months. Rachel said she will never forgive Kukucova, not least because she has left her niece Ellie without a dad.

She added: “I could never forgive her. For my own soul and spirit, that’s what you should do, but I don’t know how anybody could forgive that.

“So she can still live her life. Where is Ellie’s dad and her relationship with her dad gone? Ellie always says, ‘I’ll never have my Dad to walk me down the aisle.’” The case features on new true crime series Murder In Paradise tomorrow at 9pm on Crime+ Investigation.
