Blobbies on beat

THE long arm of the law is looking a little flabby right now.

A Daily Star Sunday investigation has found Britain’s police forces have had to order thousands of XL-sized trousers for cops.

One force even had to call in a set with a whopping 52in waist.

Talk about blobbies on the beat. Too many cops are not out on the streets keeping us safe.

They are stuck behind desks or in cars all day – maybe they should get out and pound the pavements.

It may even reduce crime along with their waistbands.
