Grey days are over for Sandra

-

KILLING Eve star Sandra Oh has ruled out a return to Grey’s Anatomy.

The award-winning actress – who plays secret agent Eve Polastri in the BBC thriller – had been “considered” by producers looking to reprise her character Dr Cristina Yang.

But Sandra, 50, insists growing older allows her to land “richer” roles.

She said of Grey’s: “It’s really a time in my past.

“During the pandemic, I think a lot of people re-watched Grey’s because it is such a friend. It’s a great privilege to have been on a show like that.”

Sandra said she is now focused on bringing more strong female characters to life, like The Chair’s English department chairwoman Dr Ji-Yoon Kim.

The star said: “What drew me to the character of Professor Kim was the complexity of how you see the character navigate all of her relationships as a daughter, as a mother, as a boss, as a friend, as a teacher.”
