Barmy hotel boss has an inner Basil Fawlty

IF you haven’t had your fill of pampered Yanks, dark comedy-drama The White Lotus hits home. Entitled gobshites flock to a Hawaiian hotel to be greeted by resort manager Armond, whose inner Basil Fawlty simmers nicely. There’s highflyer Nicole, her emasculated hubby Mark, dozy son Quinn, and mean teen daughter Olivia with her shallow pal Paula. Needy Tanya wanders around with her mother’s ashes in a plastic bag.

Newlywed Rachel – the only vaguely likeable guest – is here with her smug d**khead husband Shane. The marriage will last as long as a Taliban promise.

We know one guest – sadly not Shane – will pop their clogs. His mum crashes the honeymoon, Armond will surely lose it, and we’ve seen Mark’s meat and two veg.
