McDermott’s in dementia battle

TERRY McDERMOTT is the latest football legend to reveal that he has been diagnosed with dementia.

Alzheimer’s and vascular dementia. McDermott, though, is determined to fight against the condition. He was at Anfield yesterday as a matchday host and said: “I’ve got to get on with it and I will. I’m not frightened of taking it on.”
