Ole: We’ll protect our Lions
OLE GUNNAR SOLSKJAER says Man United will protect England’s Jadon Sancho and Marcus Rashford if they continue to suffer from fans’ abuse.
The Old Trafford boss was not happy to hear new boy Sancho targeted by Leeds fans last week, while footage also emerged on social media of Man City’s fans chanting about how Sancho and Rashford had “let their country down” by missing Euro 2020 final penalties against
Italy at Wembley in July.
Shocked Solskjaer (right) said: “I don’t expect it to happen with too many away fans, or any fans. Hopefully, more of them are more respectful and support their country more.
“But with regards to how we handle it, no problem. “We will protect them, I’ll protect them – and that’s absolutely no issue.”
