‘I’m always broody – I’ll just keep going’

Katie Price and sister Sophie open up about their new business venture, having babies and their differing fashion sense

-

Family is clearly everything to Katie Price and her younger sister Sophie as we catch up for a chat. They are joined by Sophie’s adorable three-month-old son Albert, who she shares with partner Harry Brooks.

And as the sisters dote on the tot, they talk excitedly about how their love of babies has inspired Little Pricey – a kids’ clothing firm that they are launching together.

Katie, 43 – mum to Harvey, 19, Junior, 16, Princess, 14, Jett, eight, and Bunny, seven – says,“When I had Harvey I dressed him in Nike trainers, tracksuits and jeans, but they want to be comfy in babygrows and loose clothes. So that’s why we thought we’d do this collection. It’s affordable and it has our little rabbit logo on, which is really cute.”

Sophie, 31, adds,“And it’s sustainable too.”

Here, the sisters tell us all about their relationship, working together and wanting more babies.

Hi, guys. We love this collaboration. Is it important for you to be role models for women in business?

Katie: We’re from a strong family and whether you’re a man or a woman, it’s equal. We’ve got a good work ethic. Sophie’s the geeky one – good with computers and organising. I like the creative side. Sophie: I’m more the admin side. Katie: It’s a good combination.

Tell us all about your collection... Sophie: It’s for up to 18 months and it’s going to be jerseywear, really comfortable babygrows, cosy blankets and pyjamas. Katie: Obviously, we’ve both had babies and comfort is the thing.

Sounds great, girls!

Katie: We’ve created our own Louis Vuitton-style print, too. Sophie: I wasn’t sure about it at first. Katie: But when she saw it made up, she said,“I love it.”Hopefully it will inspire others, knowing we’re just two sisters doing it together.

Exactly! So, do you tell each other everything?

Katie: Yeah. She puts me in my place all the time.“Don’t do this on Instagram,”or“Don’t do that.” But she’s only got my interests...

Sophie: ...best interests at heart.

Katie: She understands me and people around me. She’s like my mum – a no bulls ***ter.

You have such a strong bond. Did you fight over anything as kids?

Sophie: Just clothes really.

Katie: And shoes.

Sophie: Oh, here we go... I used to nick her shoes and my bunion would make a dent in them.

Katie: And my bags and clothes went missing. But now we’re older I wouldn’t wear what she does.

Sophie: And I definitely wouldn’t wear what she wears.

Albert is adorable. Have you enjoyed motherhood, Sophie? Sophie: It’s been a shock to the system but I’m loving it. I’ll have another one next year.

Katie: She’s a really good mum.

Do you spoil Albert, Katie?

Katie: Of course. With Soph, she’s grown up with me and all my kids. She’s good with babies and she knows I am. When we’re together it’s like,“I’ll calm him down.” Sophie: Tag team.

Has Albert made you broody, Katie? Katie: I’m always f ***** g broody and I’ll have more. I can only have one more as I’ve had Caesareans, so I’d use a surrogate until I’ve got no eggs left. I’ll just keep going.

What’s the dream for you both now?

Katie: We know what we want to do with the range, we’ll just enjoy it.

Sophie: And take it step by step.

Katie: I just hope everyone loves it.

The Little Pricey collection will be out online soon
