RED HOT IN THE SHOWER

GOING red has produced unexpected results for Ava Max, especially in the shower.

The US star dyed her trademark blonde hair postbox red to accompany new single Maybe You’re The Problem.

But it doesn’t stay on her head for long, as she explained: “I’ve always wanted to be a redhead and now I’m finally fulfilling my true dream. [But] it looks like a murder scene when

I’m in the shower.

“And it’s all over me,

I’m completely red every single time.”

Maybe You’re The Problem is Ava’s response to a difficult end to a relationship.

She said: “It was the only thing I could write about, I was having such a hard time trying to find myself.

“It was like ripping off this band-aid, everything I knew was gone last year.

“I had to regain my strength and figure out who I was. I went through a very hard break-up, I was in a very long relationship and no-one knew anything about my personal life, because I kept it that way.

“Now it’s a little bit different.” Indeed, Ava is normally an incredibly private person, but this experience has changed her.

She went on: “I never thought I would write about my personal life, ever.

“I’d look at another artist and think, ‘What? You can write about anything else, like female empowerment.’ “But after the hardest year of my life that’s all I could write about on this album – it was spilling out of me in the studio.

“Now I understand you can’t hide away from your personal life.”

The album will be out later this year and Ava plans to make up for lost time, adding: “I have a lot of show dates this summer, I’m going to London. I’m just excited to be on the stage.”
