WATCHING football is the biggest cause of stress for most men.

Seeing their team in action made them more tense than the fear of going bald or money worries, seven out of 10 blokes said.

Controversial VAR decisions, penalty misses, diving and losing has them pulling their hair out. A survey found the second biggest worry for fellas is money, with 68% saying it kept them awake, while buying a home was third at 58%.

Fear of going bald is the fourth biggest stress, on 39%, with asking someone on a date fifth on 36% and concerns about penis size sixth on 30%.

Going on a first date came seventh on 27%, followed by getting married in eighth place on 24%.

Losing a job is the ninth most stressful thing for men on 20%, with gaining weight 10th and a worry for 18%.

Cosmetic surgery specialists longevita.co.uk asked 2,158 football fans for their biggest concerns.

Spokesman Kagen Seymenoglu said: “The results shocked us.

“We expected the most common causes of stress to be money, dating and work.

“What we didn’t expect was the level of stress men go through watching their favourite team.”
