Wendy and Liam begin an affair following the murder-mystery writing convention. She has big plans for the night after meeting him at the bus stop, but he tells her the convention has moved online. They go to the surgery where Wendy celebrates Liam’s writing win by popping the champagne. Caught up in the moment, things quickly get passionate. Elsewhere, though, Wendy’s boyfriend, Bob, is shocked when Bernice leans in for a drunken snog. The next day, the two awkwardly avoid mentioning their near-kiss – while Wendy and Liam are busily smooching in the surgery.

On the other side of the village, disaster strikes. Nicola hurriedly tries to get Angel to the dentist and orders her into the car. However, she is involved in a crash with Moira just outside the village. As the two women get out of their vehicles, they’re horrified to see unconsciou­s Angel in the back of Nicola’s crushed car.

Meanwhile, Charles’ mum, Claudette, arrives and Manpreet is mortified to realise she’s the woman she argued with earlier at the café. And Manpreet is disappoint­ed when Charles chooses to stay with his mother, rather than go on a date night.

Craig assures Faye he would never report her to the police for her part in Ted’s death and suggests they set a date for their wedding. And when Tim tells her he’s relieved she chose Craig, she feels even more trapped than ever. Later, she tells Gary she wants to be with Jackson but is worried that leaving Craig could land her back in prison. In the end, Craig tells Faye she should go with Jackson, if that’s what she wants to do.

Stacey takes Lily to school after she refuses to go because of being bullied. A furious Stacey shares her concerns with the headmaster and is invited to discuss it at the parents’ committee meeting. Stacey’s appearance at the school causes a commotion among some of the pupils who have discovered her SecretCam page. Lily finds out about it from Amy – and proceeds to tell the entire family. At the school meeting Stacey is faced with a panel of disapprovi­ng parents. has a problem with his foot and might not be able to. Billy knows something is wrong, and questions Dee-Dee about it. But she’s remaining tightlippe­d. Outside the court, Dee-Dee anxiously waits for Paul, who arrives late. They head inside, not realising Billy is there already. When Isabella glues George’s model ship to the table, he accuses Brian of sabotage. As a consequenc­e, George locks Brian’s model ship in the hearse – so neither of them can take part in the competitio­n.

Elsewhere, Lola returns from the hospital. Jay reaches out to Reverend Mills, who visits Lola to share her religious outlook on death. But Ben struggles to accept the prognosis and meets Dr Washington to discuss a new treatment.

Also, Freddie attempts to form a dream team to take part in the pub quiz, and seeks help from an unlikely source. The Vic quiz gets underway as the residents of Walford battle it out – and the rivalry quickly boils over.

After vandals spray-paint theYouth Centre, DeMarcus is left wondering if it’d be best for him not to be around and ruin the hard work his dad has put into the place. The bad news continues for Felix when rumours of a dealer nearby put the grand opening at risk. Later, Felix and Scott open the centre but the arrival of dealer Taz has DeMarcus worried. Taz goes on to attack DeMarcus, and Felix is horrified when his son ends up in hospital.

Also, Sienna is shocked to see Lord Rafe in the village and even more surprised to hear that he’s moving to Hollyoaks. And Charlie is disappoint­ed when he goes to meet Shing Lin, only to discover she’s created a bond with Dillon and Ella.

Xander’s shift takes a sinister turn when a group of thugs ambush the ambulance for drugs. He’s found seriously injured and is rushed to hospital, but Xander’s only concern is for his ambulance partner. Rose is forced to deliver the terrible news – his partner died at the scene. A vengeful Rose wants justice for Xander and his partner – and she’s going to get it. But her determinat­ion to catch the criminals worries Mali.

Elsewhere, realising Cash doesn’t recall the night’s events, Eden plays a prank on Cash, pretending that he proposed last night. But when Eden reveals it was a joke, Cash doesn’t share her humour. And when Marilyn hears Jett is engaged, she goes on the hunt for a getrich-quick scheme.
