Rosenior takes the positives
LIAM ROSENIOR refused to be downbeat after Hull were denied a fourth straight win by play-off rivals West Brom.
On-loan Liverpool forward Fabio Carvalho rifled home a superb 20-yard strike to put the Tigers in front but Albion defender Darnell Furlong headed in from a corner as half-time approached.
Both teams went close in the second half, with Jaden Philogene hitting the post before Baggies substitute Adam Reach did likewise.
In the end, it was a fair result as the Tigers failed to build on three away wins in eight days which had lifted them into the top six.
Boss Rosenior said: “I thought it was a real battle and a game of fine margins.
“Overall, for the week we’ve had, 10 points in four games is a good return.
“It’s about our performance levels and staying consistent – and we’ve done that in the main.
“We want to make the top six and have a right go. This could be a really good point in the scheme of things.”
The result kept the Baggies, who on Friday revealed the takeover by American businessman Shilen Patel should be completed this week, a point above Hull.
Boss Carlos Corberan said: “With the quality of players that Hull have right now, you need to be concentrated defensively to get something fromthe game.
“To defend and to be aggressive was key to managing the game. But we finished being closer to scoring than conceding.”
