Accrington 0 Crawley 1

SCOTT LINDSEY says someone needs to take control in the race to make the play-offs. Harry Ransom’s goal earned his side this win which puts them firmly in the picture.

“The last two play-off places down to mid-table and beyond, there are so many teams who can get in those final spots and no one is taking control,” he said. “We have to keep winning.” Accies boss John Coleman said: “We are creating more chances.”

Gillingham 1 Wrexham 0

STEPHEN CLEMENCE is confident Gillingham can remain in the play-off spots after seeing his side move up to seventh.

Tim Dieng scored the only goal, and Clemence said: “We know there will be bumps in the road and there’s still lots of points to play for. We’re just going to focus on the next game.”

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson added: “I think we are just a little desperate to find those key moments, but we will address that.”

Mansfield 5 Salford 1

COACH Andy Garner says Mansfield could have scored more in their big win over Salford.

Will Swan, Baily Cargill, Davis Keillor-Dunn, Lucas Akins and Hiram Boateng netted and Garner said: “We should’ve scored a few more. That’s not being over the top.”

Salford had Theo Vassell sent off and Junior Luamba scored. Boss Karl Robinson said: “It was shambolic at times.”

Morecambe 1 Grimsby 1

GRIMSBY boss Dave Artell said Gavan Holohan was “devastated” after missing a last-gasp chance to win it.

Holohan looked certain to score with the last kick, but the ball came off his shin and spooned over the bar.

Danny Rose gave the Mariners the lead but Jordan Slew levelled.

Artell said: “You had to feel for him as he’d done so well to get onto the cross.”

Shrimps manager Ged Brannan added:

“It’s a tough one to take.”

Stockport 0 Swindon 0

DAVE CHALLINOR was left frustrated after his Stockport side slipped to second. He said County only had themselves to blame after missing a flurry of chances.

He said: “If you don’t take your chances then the eventuality is you’re not going to win games.”

Swindon’s interim head coach Gavin Gunning said: “It was a great performance. I’m really proud of the lads.”

Doncaster 1 Wimbledon 0

CONFIDENCE is brimming at Doncaster and manager Grant McCann is convinced it can carry his side through to a strong finish to the campaign.

Doncaster beat AFC Wimbledon, thanks to Hakeeb Adelakun’s goal.

“We’re playing with confidence and that helps,” McCann said.

Wimbledon boss Johnnie Jackson said: “I know what we served up was not good enough.”

Forest Green 1 Tranmere 0

STEVE COTTERILL was delighted for the Forest Green fans after his side boosted their survival hopes with victory over Tranmere.

Charlie McCann’s stunning strike was enough for 10-man Forest Green as Ryan Inniss was sent off for a second yellow card late on.

“It’s nice for our supporters to see a win here, a clean sheet, and a great goal,” said Cotterill.

Tranmere boss Nigel Adkins said: “I can’t fault the players for their attitude.”

Harrogate 0 Walsall 2

MAT SADLER felt Walsall should have been celebrating an even more convincing win.

Liam Gordon and Mo Faal, with a deflected effort, scored, but Faal and Ross Tierney both missed chances and Douglas James-Taylor hit a post. Sadler said: “The final scoreline should have been far more than 2-0.”

Harrogate manager Simon Weaver said: “Our final pass was missing.”

Milton Keynes 3 Newport 0

MIKE WILLIAMSON described his MK Dons side’s display as “a privilege to watch”. First-half goals from Dan Kemp, Jack Payne and Alex Gilbey sealed the win at Stadium MK.

“The lads ran their socks off and left everything out there, so I can’t be any more complimentary,” said Williamson.

Newport boss Graham Coughlan said: “They were better with the ball. We were sloppy and just didn’t come out of the traps.”

Notts County 1 Crewe 3

LEE BELL wants his Crewe players to relish their victory. Mickey Demetriou scored Crewe’s opener before Elliott Nevitt’s penalty.

Josh Austerfield added their third and Jim O’Brien grabbed Magpies’ consolation. The Alex boss said: “I want the players to enjoy it, they can switch off.”

Magpies chief Stuart Maynard added: “It’s really frustrating.”

Sutton 1 Colchester 1

STEVE MORISON was devastated after a late penalty miss saw his Sutton side held by Colchester.

Cameron McGeehan’s opener for the U’s was cancelled out by Charlie Lakin before Harry Smith’s spot-kick was saved.

“I’m gutted to be standing here without the win,” said Morison. “We just couldn’t get over the line.”

Colchester boss Danny Cowley said: “You’ve got to respect your opponent. They’re a good side.”
