Rapper laughs off bankruptcy with Smart Car picture prank
SKINT rapper 50 Cent has shrugged off his money worries in an online prank.
Fiddy declared himself bankrupt on Monday after losing a multi-million pound lawsuit.
But the star, who once flaunted his supercars and megabucks lifestyle, is still playing the joker as he posted a funny snap of his new ride, a cheap Smart Car.
Posing next to the vehicle in a car park, he used slang for “laughing my arse off” and wrote: “Times are hard out here LMAO.”
The artist, real name Curtis James Jackson III, is known for his bling jewellery and fleet of luxury cars.
But he had to file bankruptcy papers after courts ordered him to pay his rap rival’s girlfriend Lavonia Leviston £3.2million in damages.
A jury in the US found he had used an X-rated video of Lavonia to embarrass rival Rick Ross, who had a child with the babe. He added his own crude commentary and posted it online.
But he told reporters losing all his money was a strategic decision. Promoting his new film Southpaw, he said: “Walt Disney has filed bankruptcy. Donald Trump has filed bankruptcy. It means you’re reorganising your finances but it does stop things from moving forward that you don’t want moving forward.”
The 40-year-old is odds-on to join the I’m A Celebrity camp to cash in on a mega fee from producers.
