GOBBY Russell Brand stunned fans when he dubbed one audience member a “Nazi”, only to discover he was Jewish.

The blundering comic later admitted his joke was “antiSemitic and insensitive”.

GOBBY Russell Brand accused an audience member of being a “Nazi” – only to find out he was actually Jewish.

The controversial comic also left fans stunned by saying he “didn’t care that much” about alleged paedophile gangs in Parliament.

In a rambling performance in front of a 160-strong audience, Brand claimed a fan’s raised arm looked like the Hitler salute.

The telly star quipped: “Yes, the young Nazi in the back row,” only to be told: “I’m Jewish!”

The shocked funnyman immediately apologised, admitting: “It was insensitive and anti-Semitic.”

Brand was in The Proud Archivist bar in east London plugging his YouTube channel Trews, which has become infamous in the last few months for promoting his outspoken views.

Recent outbursts include slamming the minute’s silence for victims of the Tunisia beach massacre and claiming he will move to war-torn Syria if someone buys him a first-class ticket.

And Brand, who joked he has “turned his mental illness into a career”, brazenly claimed he “doesn’t care that much” about MPs suspected of being in a child sex ring.

He said: “People tell me there are paedophiles in Parliament.

“I mean I care, but just not that much.

“I’m treating it like they’re an annoying kid in my neighbourhood, it’s not like they’re kicking a ball up against my garage door.”

Outspoken Brand, who confessed he is “self-obsessed”, also dropped his tracksuit bottoms to reveal shorts emblazoned with support for his beloved football team West Ham.

The loudmouth then mocked the South African accent and claimed Brits could “probably get away with” being racist against Australians.
