Leo sets up £9m lifesaver

LEONARDO DiCaprio is donating £9.6million to environmental charities.

The 40-year-old actor is backing more than 30 green groups.

In a statement, the Wolf Of Wall Street star said: “The destruction of our planet continues at a pace we can no longer afford to ignore.

“I am proud to support these organisations who are working to solve humankind’s greatest challenge.”

Amazon Watch, Save the Elephants and the World Wildlife Fund are among the groups that will receive grants from the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation.
