Robbie does lot of good

-

BID MASTER: Williams ROBBIE Williams stunned fans when he turned up to a charity auction of his own memorabilia.

The singer had decided to auction off a selection of his awards, clothes and other possessions for a children’s hospice.

And he surprised fans by putting in a personal appearance.

Robbie’s wife Ayda Field, 36, who sat on the front row, looked delighted as he bumbled his way through the sale of one of the lots at Bonhams in Knightsbridge, London.

The firm’s auctioneer joked that Robbie had begged to come in for “work experience” before showing the former Take That star the ropes.

And Robbie, 41, sporting a wacky blonde hair do, took charge of the sale of handwritten lyrics for Kids, a duet he sang with Kylie Minogue that was released in 2000.

He giggled and told bidders “Nice one”, and “Congrats” before shaking hands and congratulating the eventual winner who paid £5,500 for the lot, almost twice its estimated value of £2,000 to £3,000.

He then waved goodbye to his fans before dashing off to a waiting car.

The auction made a staggering £145,000 for the Donna Louise Children’s Hospice, based in Robbie’s home county Staffordshire.
