RIDDLE OF 350 MISSING TERROR SCHOOLKIDS
Fear of IS brainwashing
WORRIES: Sir Michael
Education watchdog Ofsted found 357 children had disappeared, sparking fears they will fall into the clutches of Islamic State terrorists.
The youngsters have gone missing from seven schools across Birmingham and London’s Tower Hamlets over the last two years.
The figures come from a series of inspections carried out after the “Trojan Horse” scandal in which a government report said a number of colleges in Birmingham risked being taken over by fanatics.
Chief Inspector of Schools Sir Michael Wilshaw has warned the missing pupils could be exposed to Muslim extremists.
In a letter to Education Secretary Nicky Morgan, he said: “We cannot be sure some of the children are not being exposed to harm or the influence of extremist ideologies.”
The Department for Education said it was taking “immediate action” to strengthen rules on information schools should collect when a pupil is taken off the register.
The move came as it was revealed 60 Brit jihadists have died fighting for groups linked to IS in Iraq and Syria over the past three years.
Islamic State maniacs in Sirty, Libya yesterday issued a strict fashion guide for women, banning brand names, see-through garments and tight-fitting clothes.
