FOUR Chelsea fans are fighting a 10-year ban from football after a race row on a French train.

Police identified them from video footage taken on the Paris Metro before the Champions League clash with PSG.

Jordan Munday, 20, Joshua Parsons, 20, William Simpson, 25, and Richard Barklie, 50, face Football Banning Orders at Stratford Magistrates’ Court, east London.

Yesterday the court was shown clips of Chelsea fans stopping a black man getting on the train.

Alison Gurden, representing Munday, said the case was only being heard because there was pressure to crack down on football hooliganism.

She said: “The reason you have brought this action against Mr Munday is purely because he was on the Metro train, and it had been considered something has to be done to make it look like the Metropolitan Police is stamping down on hooliganism.”

Pc Neil West, from the Met Police Football Unit, replied: “No. You can’t get away from the fact it is a high-profile incident”. Nick Scott,

CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Parsons defending former policeman Barklie, who was seen pushing the Frenchman off the train, said he was doing so because it was full.

He said: “There are three people in the way filling up the door.

“He’s just pushed off, no violence or aggression.”

Pc Adam Stephens said the man had come “flying off” the train. Police witnesses say they saw fans taking drugs and chanting: “We’re racist and that’s the way we like.”

Fan Dean Callis, 32, received a five-year banning order last week.
