Psycho seagulls keep out illegals

BRITAIN has a new last line of defence in the fight to keep illegal immigrants out of the country – a flock of dive-bombing psycho seagulls.

UK truckers said the ravenous birds are swooping on foreigners trying to sneak over here from the Jungle camp in Calais.

VICIOUS seagulls have become the last line of defence in stopping migrants getting into Britain from Calais.

Packs of the ravenous birds are attacking the notorious “Jungle” camp on the French border.

It is home to thousands of foreigners looking to make a break for the UK and conditions have deteriorated as more migrants have arrived.

Human waste is littered on the floor while discarded food is also rotting away.

The squalor is the perfect feeding ground for the feathered scavengers, which circle the camp before swooping down to strike.

Truckers have reported that packs of seagulls have attacked migrants.

The problem is becoming worse as roads are littered with rubbish and fields off the motorways heading to the Channel Tunnel resemble rubbish dumps.

One British trucker, who stopped near the Jungle, said: “They (the migrants) have started to get attacked by the seagulls.

“They just swoop down because there is so much rubbish and the smell is horrific.

“As the camp gets worse there are going to be more seagulls.”

Yesterday the Calais crisis saw more ugly scenes as ferry workers set fire to tyres.

The French seamen held a strike and stormed the Tunnel before setting up a blockade in protest at job cuts. It was finally lifted after unions called off the action.

Meanwhile Staff at Conwy Council in Wales, who wanted to impose fines for feeding seagulls, made a U-turn claiming religious groups could be offended by the move.
