There are too many acts for boot camp

MESSAGES: The model WORRIED Kate Moss fans have rallied behind the star model after news of a love split from rocker husband Jamie Hince.

It emerged yesterday the babe’s marriage to The Kills guitarist is “over and past the point of no return”.

Her sister Lottie, 17, yesterday tweeted: “Missing you”.

Fans were quick to back Kate. One wrote online: “Love you Kate” while another said: “What a shame, he seemed to be a good influence on her.”

Kate, 41, and Jamie, 46, have been married for just four years but have told pals it is all over.

Friends say the rocker is now waiting for Kate to move forward with divorce proceedings.

Last night Kate and pal Sadie Frost were due to attend the launch of a new whiskey by The Pogues, who are fronted by famous boozer Shane MacGowan, 57.

Jamie and Kate did not comment last night.

X FACTOR boss Simon Cowell was last night facing a backlash from wannabes who claim they are given false hope in the contest.

Acts with four “yes” votes from the TV judges at auditions in London and Manchester were led to believe they had automatically made boot camp, which starts on Monday.

But now they have been told by email this is not the case.

Instead they have been warned they may be out of the competition altogether as too many acts have been put through.

As there are only “limited spaces’’ at boot camp – where Cowell and the panel will go on to select their favourites for the next round – many will be axed.

The news has sparked a huge outcry. One hopeful, who asked not to be named, contacted the Daily Star to complain about the treatment.

He stormed: “Having been successful at my arena audition, I thought I had made it to boot camp.

“Now it seems my place on the show is still undecided. Contestants will not find out their fate until Saturday evening.

“I feel X Factor needs to be shamed for this shocking incident. They are playing with people’s lives.”

The email sent to contestants reads: “The standard of auditions has been very high this year and, with a limited number of places available at boot camp, sadly we cannot offer everyone who received a ‘yes’ in their audition a place in the next stage of the competition.

“We are writing to inform you now as we want to be clear with you about the process and also to make sure that you do not book any travel for next week.”

The message has gone out to every wannabe to get the nod from Cowell, 55, and fellow judges Cheryl FernandezVersini, 32, Rita Ora, 24, and Nick Grimshaw, 30.

Last night an X Factor source said: “It was decided that this process would be kinder and fairer than an immediate cull on arrival at boot camp, which has happened in previous series.

“They have been told to wait until they are informed by production whether they have a place.”
