Talent show kicks off with topless models and saucy former pop stars But Si hit by slump in ratings
X FACTOR has flooded the new series with its sexiest ever babes – but ratings have taken a hit.
Fans are already calling the talent show “The Sex Factor” after being wowed by a string of beauties this weekend.
But music mogul Simon Cowell was shocked by the programme’s initial viewing figures.
Saturday’s launch show drew 6.7 million – which is more than a million down on last year’s opener.
Red-blooded viewers went crazy for stunning brunette model Rosie Mac, 19, who performed Ralph McTell’s Streets Of London.
The singer – a body double for Emilia Clarke in Game Of Thrones – has a very sexy past as she has done plenty of topless modelling.
However, Rosie, who lives in Marbella, Spain, will upset male admirers as she plans to stay a virgin until she is married.
She said: “I’ve got high morals. On my Instagram I’ve written ‘Virgin till married’. I really like the whole thing of keeping yourself for your husband.”
Sadly for Rosie, her X Factor stint does not end well.
She was involved in an accident in Spain just before filming started on boot camp earlier this year and had to pull out.
But, luckily for her, a management company in America wants to help her launch a pop career there.
Last night viewers saw Finnish-born Saara Aalto impress judge Nicole Scherzinger with Sia’s Chandelier so much that she told her: “You make me want to twerk. My a *** wants to clap for you.”
However, she didn’t know the 29-yearold is famous back home or that she shocked fans by splitting with her celebrity boyfriend Teemu Roivainen and running off with a woman.
She and girlfriend Meri Sopanen have just become engaged and posted a photo sharing a kiss to celebrate their partnership.
Viewers also saw ex-pop star and single mum Rebekah Ryan try for a second chance of fame when she performed Hozier’s Take Me To Church.
First time round, her videos were too hot to handle – for A Little Bit Of Love she rolled around semi naked.
However, ITV sources point out it was the most-watched show of the night on a bank holiday weekend when many people were away.
An insider said: “With catch-up TV being the way many people watch shows nowadays, once the consolidated figures come in, we expect to add another two million to the overall ratings.”
