STAN SEES LIST OF SHAME
“I will pray to the Gods of Football to end the curse of the England goalkeeper”
STAN Collymore claimed football in England will “never be the same” after the corruption probe that brought down Sam Allardyce.
The former England striker turned TV pundit claimed he had seen a list of more big names set to be exposed by investigators.
Collymore, 45, tweeted: “If the list I’ve just seen is true, IF it’s true, football in England will never, ever, ever be the same. The police, Association and leagues are involved. Let them do their job.’’
Southampton chairman Ralph ® Krueger said yesterday allegations of improper conduct against assistant manager Eric Black were a “personal issue for him” and not directly linked to the club.
Black was secretly filmed allegedly offering advice to an undercover investigator on how to bribe officials of lower league clubs to secure players. He denies the accusations.
Investigators also claimed QPR boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, 44, requested £55,000 to work for a fake Far East firm seeking to sell players to the club.
QPR said it would hold a “thorough internal investigation” into the allegations
Hasselbaink said he had been naive to be sucked into the corruption scandal, but said: “Taking money is not what I stand for.”
He added: “I have never done it. I would never do it just to get a player to the club so I can benefit from that. No, I want to win games.’’
