SIMON Cowell was reeling last night after discovering one of his X Factor finalists has a criminal record for kicking a policeman in the privates.
The show’s boss was seen at the weekend picking Gifty Louise Agyeman for the live shows.
He told her: “You’re different and interesting.”
However Gifty, 20, hid a secret from him and the producers – she once attacked a policeman.
Gifty confessed: “I got arrested when I was 13 for hitting a police officer. It was quite funny. They were doing stop and search and I felt a female officer should search me.
“I felt he was touching me inappropriately so I kicked him in the balls and got arrested.
“I didn’t go to court but I had a criminal record. It got taken off when I was 15.”
Meanwhile the finalists have posed for their first photoshoot, above, since being picked for the live shows. All 12 acts have had a make-over. Cowell has picked Gifty, Emily Middlemas and Sam Lavery for the finals.
Louis Walsh has Brooks Way, 5 After Midnight and Bratavio.
Sharon Osbourne chose Honey G, Relley C and Saara Aalto.
And Nicole Scherzinger selected Matt Terry, Freddy Parker and Ryan Lawrie.
Ladbrokes have made Matt their 2-1 favourite to be crowned champ.
And they reckon “new Jedward” Bratavio are 5-4 faves for the axe this weekend.
