PLEA BY MUM

- By MATTHEW YOUNG matthew.young@dailystar.co.uk

THE mum of airman Corrie McKeague yesterday issued a plea for information about her missing son.

Nicola Urquhart insisted nothing about his behaviour had been “remotely unusual” before he disappeared after a night out.

It came as police searching for the 23-year-old seized a bin lorry that matched the last-known route of his mobile phone. Analysis of the device’s data showed it moved more than 12 miles on the day he vanished.

Officers were yesterday carrying out searches along the vehicle’s route.

The phone’s data showed it had moved between Bury St Edmunds, where Corrie was last seen, and Barton Mills in Suffolk.

Officers do not think Corrie was in the lorry but say his mobile could have been thrown away or lost.

Ms Urquhart, of Dunfermline, Scotland, said yesterday: “If anyone knows anything, get in touch with Suffolk Police.

“We would like him to come home, we would like him to come home soon.” Corrie, based at Honington, has been in the RAF for three years.

He was last seen at about 3.20am on Saturday, September 24.

Suffolk Police believe he may have been in the area of Mildenhall later that day.

They have released photographs of the clothing he was believed to have been wearing, a pink Ralph Lauren polo shirt and brown suede Timberland boots.
