BRITS SPACED OUT BY 2020
UK bids to be world leader
BRITS could fly to space from the UK in just three years.
The Government wants to make the UK a “world leader” in intergalactic travel.
Travel “ports” will be built as ministers try to steal a march on US rivals. President Donald Trump said he wants to send Americans to the moon for the first time since the 1970s. Boris Johnson’s brother Jo, left, the science minister, wants to send Brits into space by 2020. He said: “We will cement the UK’s position as a world leader in this emerging market.”
The Spaceflight Bill will be unveiled in Parliament this week.
