Zola: Players will decide my fate
HE WON’T QUIT BLUES – YET
GIANFRANCO ZOLA has left his fate in the hands of player power.
The defiant Chelsea legend says he will only end his troubled reign at Birmingham if he feels he’s lost the support of the dressing room.
Now he has pledged to fight for his future and urged his players to become “eagles” to end their slump.

Zola said he might quit after Tuesday’s defeat at Wigan but he now insists he will stay unless he loses his players’ support.
“I still have something to give,” said Zola, whose side travel to Cardiff today after just two wins from 15 league games under him.
“Until I feel otherwise, I will keep supporting these players. It’s not always been roses, ®Êby STEVE MADELEY not always flowers. I had to face problems, and I didn’t back off from those problems.
“If I see the people are following me, I will carry on. If I don’t see that, I’ll do something else.
“The players have to feel responsible. They care, I have never questioned them and I never will.
“There are some issues or we wouldn’t be in this position. We have limitations.
“If you are a chicken, you have to dream to be an eagle – you have to be ambitious in your life and better. If you don’t have this, then why? I have never given up, that’s what I want the players to do.”
Zola is adamant he has the backing of Birmingham’s Chinese owners, who controversially sacked Gary Rowett in December.
