GAY dads of two adopted children are now expecting their first biological baby.

Trystan Reese and Biff Chaplow will welcome their son a year after a miscarriage.

Trystan, who is transgender, became pregnant for the first time in 2016, but lost the baby at six weeks.

After the miscarriage, he wanted to wait a ® year before trying again. But because of the medical complications of going off testosterone drugs, they continued immediately.

This time it took longer to conceive, but after six months, Trystan was pregnant again.

They announced the news on a podcast called the Longest Shortest Time revealing how they were both very cautious in the early stages of the pregnancy.

Trystan weighed himself obsessively and kept taking repeated tests.

And ahead of the six weeks ultrasound, he called the doctors to tell them he was a trans-dad.

He felt it was necessary, because of his prior experiences as a transgender person.

Dude

Trystan said: “I can feel someone looking at my face and searching for the remnants of womanhood.” But he had nothing to fear as the medical team was supportive.

Trystan, of Portland, Oregon, said: “Every person wouldn’t even bat an eye that there was a dude with a beard claiming to be pregnant who is here to get bloodwork done, and I have been trans long enough to know that doesn’t come magically.”

They already call the baby “diagnosis: male”.

The couple adopted Biff’s niece and nephew who were abandoned by their parents.
