began hormone treatment in 2015 before gender reassignment surgery last December.

Before that, she entered Britain’s Next Top Model to become the first transgender contestant.

She came eighth and has since seen offers coming flooding in.

But for Talulah, it’s also important she carries on promoting trans rights – she spoke at the Oxford Union last week.

She says: “It was an incredible honour. They’ve had so many incredible people speak there: Mother Teresa, the Dalai Lama, Albert Einstein and now me!

“It’s incredible to see transgender personalities receive such amazing opportunities.

“It’s important to show we are equal. We have a right to be seen and heard, and as valued as everybody else.”

Talulah has also landed some TV gigs, adding: “Sinitta has picked me as a panellist on her new show The Raw Deal.”

She says: “I want to continue to break down more barriers in the TV and fashion world” And she’s also full of hope that her Forever Unique campaign will help trans women feel more confident in the fashion world. Talulah says: “Fashion is about expressing yourself and it’s always been a powerful way for me to channel and project my femininity and mirror how I feel on the inside.”

She is also on the lookout for a man to share her new life.

“The last time I was somebody’s type I was giving blood,” she laughs. “I’ve had a lot of fun but a lot of men see me as a sexual fantasy and it gets disheartening.

“I’d love to go on Celebs Go Dating, where I could meet a guy who is interested in me for me.”
