COCKY DEALERS CAGED

- By KATE NELSON kate.nelson@dailystar.co.uk

® A GANG of drug dealers who bragged about their crimes on Facebook have been jailed for 48 years.

The brazen crew flaunted their wealth from their heroin and cocaine racket in bizarre posts.

Mohammed Jabbar posted a photo of himself in a balaclava with the words: “For what I’m about to do I could get like 35! Pray to God I get away!”.

In another snap he sported sunglasses and a fancy suit and grinned while sitting on a golden throne.

Heroin

The Manchester-based gang used military-encrypted mobiles to exchange messages.

They made hundreds of thousands of pounds after hiding drugs in tins of dog food. But police swooped after catching a customer with a quarter kilo of cocaine.

Officers nabbed the four men in August last year while driving their Class A haul from Manchester to Glasgow.

Officers discovered 2.5kilos of heroin in a washing powder box.

Greater Manchester Police’s Insp Lee Griffin said: “It was their own arrogance which led to their downfall.”

All four admitted conspiring to supply cocaine and heroin at Manchester Crown Court. Jabbar was yesterday jailed for 15 years, Jonathan Clorley got seven years and Jeremy Curran 14 years.

Another gang member, Mohammed Rafique, was sentenced to 12 years.
