Euro chief’s Brit ban
EU boss Jean-Claude Juncker has banned the words Britain and Brexit as he plans for the future.
The president of the European Commission will deliver the most important speech of his career this week as he sets out what will happen after we leave.
Sources claim the union kingpin will not mention Brexit or the UK. An insider revealed: “He will not talk about Brexit. Not at all.”
They added that Mr Juncker was keen to avoid the topic so his vision and career were not defined by the British break-up.
His controversial plans are set to include the creation of a federal eurozone finance minister and treasury, as well as a radical agenda for more integration.
Brussels insiders say Mr Juncker will table “very new and powerful ideas”.
