Party lifts TV host’s mood
TELLY host Declan Donnelly saved a seat for recovering partner Ant McPartlin when he and wife Ali Astall left a showbiz bash in a taxi.
DECLAN Donnelly enjoyed a party night out as he prepared for a Jungle return.
The host’s telly partner Ant McPartlin is still avoiding the celebrity scene as he recovers from his drugs hell.
But Dec’s night out shows the mood is lifting as the pair get ready for a new series of I’m A Celebrity.
The presenter, 41, and wife Ali Astall, 38, had been partying at David Walliams’s birthday bash.
The event at exclusive Scott’s restaurant in London’s Mayfair saw Britain’s Got Talent judge David celebrate turning 46 with actress Sheridan Smith, 36, and comedian Alan Carr, 41, as well as Dec and Ali.
And when Dec and Ali left, it almost looked like they were saving a seat in their taxi for their absent friend. On-themend Ant is taking a break from the party scene as he continues to prepare for ITV’s I’m A Celebrity. The 41-year-old checked himself into rehab in June for addiction to a prescription painkiller. Ant got hooked on powerful tramadol after a botched knee op following an injury sustained while doing a Riverdance routine on Saturday Night Takeaway On Tour. He is now recuperating at home with wife Lisa Armstrong, 40, before filming in the Jungle begins in November. Earlier this month, Saturday Night Takeaway scooped Best Entertainment Show at the TV Choice Awards.
