MOMENTS after Denise Burditus tweeted a smiling selfie with husband Tony, she died in his arms after being gunned down in Las Vegas.

The 50-year-old mother-oftwo posted the photo as she watched country singer Jason Aldean perform at the Route 91 Harvest Festival.

Then Stephen Paddock opened fire on the crowd from his 32nd floor hotel room and she became one of the 59 people shot dead.

Distraught Tony wrote on Facebook: “It saddens me to say I lost my wife of 32 years, a mother of two, soon to be grandmother of five this evening in the Las Vegas shooting. Denise passed away in my arms. I love you babe.”

Yards away, Jack Beaton died shielding his wife of 23 years Laurie from the bullets. A friend wrote on Facebook: “Jack was a very awesome man, father, husband and friend.” John Phippen, from Santa Clarita, California, was at the concert with his son Travis – a medic – when he was shot dead. Travis, who was wounded in the arm, patched up at least 14 other victims at the scene but could not save his dad. Pals described John as an “amazing soul”. Rhonda LeRocque, from Tewksbury, Massachusetts, had been at the gig with her daughter, father-in-law and husband of 20 years, Jason. Her father-in-law had taken the couple’s daughter home moments before the shooting started. Rhonda died instantly after being shot in the head.
