A HOST of telly favourites are set to tackle the controversial issue of cannabis legalisation for a new series.
Linda Robson, exEastEnder Pam St Clement, Christopher Biggins, John Fashanu and Bobby George signed up to go on a road trip across America.
An ITV spokeswoman said: “They travel to states where medicinal and recreational use has been legalised, meeting people who have experienced both the benefits and downsides of medical and recreational use.”
CLAUDE Littner is so tough he refuses to talk to candidates during tasks.
Lord Sugar’s aide says if they try to make conversation with him he just ignores them.
He said: “I have got a policy where I do not speak to the candidates at all, ever. They say ‘good morning’ and I completely ignore them.
“The confusion doesn’t last long. They get the picture by week three that I’m not going to talk to them. So they just get on with the tasks and that’s the way it should be.
“They know their job is to do the task and my job is to watch them. It works fine.”
Claude is known for being one of the most intimidating stars on telly. But he insists he has to ignore the candidates to avoid being accused of favouritism.
Claude explained: “It’s not that I want to be particularly rude, although I don’t mind being rude.
“I do it because if I engage with one of them one week and then next week they say, ‘I like the suit you’re wearing’ then another candidate might feel disturbed that I’m showing favouritism. So this way there’s none of that. Nobody can say that I gave someone a smile and dismissed someone else. I play it completely straight.
“They get it. That’s the rule and presumably they regard it as fair. I’m not friendly with any of them.”
Claude wouldn’t even step in if one of them was in tears.
He added: “I would never offer them a hug.” AXED: Julie TELLY’S lewdest comic is heading across The Pond. A wacky documentary series for ITV2 will see Keith Lemon try to make it in the States. He’ll be joined by celeb pals Sharon Osbourne and her son Jack, Gene Simmons and Emma Bunton. Characters from his sketch show will also pop up when the show airs next year. Keith said: “I’m right excited t’be coming in America. Who knows what might ’appen. “It’s like they say. If you can make it there ya can make it anywhere! Actually that’s New York, I’m going to L.A. “Anyway I’ve got me factor 50. It’s gonna be a lot of fun!”
