Burning pain of acid-hit clubber

-

A VICTIM doused in acid by Towie star Ferne McCann’s ex lover felt his face and eyes burning, he told a court.

He said revellers were “screaming” in panic and running for cover.

Kwami Licorish was one of 16 injured when Arthur Collins threw the liquid onto the dancefloor at the Wringer and Mangle nightclub in Dalston, east London.

Collins, the father of Ferne’s unborn child, was captured on CCTV flinging a liquid three times at clubbers after a minor scuffle broke out.

The 25-year-old admits throwing a substance but denies he knew it was acid.

Mr Licorish, who denied claims the fight broke out in a row over spiking drinks, said: “I was on the dancefloor with a few friends. All I can remember is feeling a splash.

“My face, my eyes, were burning.

“It was a strong smell. An overpowering smell. It stopped my breathing, kind of. Everybody was screaming, shouting, running.”

He told Wood Green Crown Court, north London, that his vision was still blurry.

Collins, from Broxbourne, Herts, and Andre Phoenix, from Tottenham, north London, both deny five counts of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and 11 charges of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The trial continues. GOLF fans fork out the most to watch sporting events – an average of £777 a year compared with the £400 a year a typical football fan spends on tickets and travel.
