CHEEKY Amanda Holden reckons she deserves an award for “covering up” for her Britain’s Got Talent colleague Simon Cowell.

CHEEKY Amanda Holden celebrated winning an Honorary Gay award by joking she was surprised at not winning a prize for hiding pal Simon Cowell’s gayness.

Britain’s Got Talent’s glamorous judge Amanda received the prize at the Attitude Awards.

And she could not help but mock her boss Simon, by pretending she should have got a gong for covering up the music mogul’s love for men.

Amanda said: “Being in the world I inhabit I thought I’d be far more likely to get the award for Beard Of The Year – you owe me Cowell.”

Fluid

A “beard” is a slang term describing a woman who pretends to date gay men to help make them look straight in public.

Simon, a father of one, is not gay and he has a girlfriend in Lauren Silverman – the mother of his child.

His lawyers had to clarify the issue back in 2014 when evidence given to a court case involving former X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos suggested he was.

Cheeky Amanda said she was preparing for a “sexually fluid” future and wants to marry a woman.

She said: “I’m thinking when I’ve gone through the menopause and my husband hates me I’ll just revert to where I need to be and find a lovely woman and marry her, 100%.

“I’m going to have to come out to my family now. My guess is they will say something like: ‘Yes, well, we’re very disappointed in you Amanda. We really can’t believe that Geri Halliwell or Lorraine Kelly got given the award before you.’”

At the event Amanda gave a hilarious X-rated acceptance speech marking her new status.

She said: “It’s always struck me as a little off that I’m not in fact gay because I absolutely love c**k.

“Now that I am an honorary gay I can’t wait to have honorary gay sex.” And she joked: “I’m in a room where none of the men want to have sex with me. Story of my life, really.”

Despite stumbling into a car home, not a drop of alcohol touched Amanda’s lips, so she claimed.

She said: “I haven’t drunk anything all night. I’ve made spritzers, which is not like me.”
