SI: I CAN’T BEAR CHEZ TOT NAME

Singer hits back: Yours is ‘common’

X FACTOR supremo Simon Cowell has sparked a new war with Cheryl Tweedy for calling her son Bear.

The Girls Aloud babe and 1D boyfriend Liam Payne welcomed the tot into the world six months ago.

They decided to call the lad Bear because they claim he looked like a little bear and it was “a name you won’t forget when you leave a room”.

However, Simon thinks it is “pretentious” and fears the boy will get the mickey taken out of him at school.

He told Cheryl: “What’s his name? Bear? As in ‘bear’? That’s pretentious.

“Bear is short for something, yeah? Would you want to go to school being called Bear?”

But Cheryl hit back, claiming she would never have called him Simon as it was “a common name”.

She blasted: “You’re pretentious. Well, would you want to be an Arthur? Or Simon? One of those common names.”

Then she jokingly branded her old TV boss “un-bear-able”.

Chateau

The pair had an hilarious spat about the lad’s name while filming Simon’s X Factor judge’s house stint in a luxury chateau at Nice in the south of France last week.

He had asked Cheryl to “come out of exile” and join him in choosing the best acts in the bands category in the contest.

The Geordie has barely been seen since she gave birth to her baby son.

She was originally a judge on The X Factor between 2008 and 2010 and then again for two seasons during 2014 and 2015.

But the pair have kept in touch and Simon was instrumental in getting her back on the show this year – a move which has excited fans. CHERYL and Liam have been refused planning permission to extend their home.

The couple wanted to double the size of their mansion in Woking, Surrey, but the pair’s latest building proposal has been rejected because planners say it would spoil views of the surrounding countryside.

Cheryl, 34, and Liam, 24, were hoping to build a super garage for their collection of cars and construct an indoor pool inside the plush property.

The X Factor is on ITV tonight at 8.15pm and tomorrow at 7pm.
