MY girlfriend is sex mad and I struggle to keep up with her.
She never wants a night off. She literally charges through the door after work and rips my clothes off.
There’s no glass of wine or foreplay as far as she’s concerned – it’s straight down to action with no questions asked.
Don’t get me wrong, I love the fact that she’s such a live-wire and, of course I like to have sex too, but I increasingly feel as though I’m faking it, especially after I’ve had a gruelling day myself.
In the year we’ve been together, we’ve romped everywhere from public toilets to an adventure playground. On her birthday she insisted on sex on the beach in Spain followed by a threesome with a woman from a dating app.
Sometimes she scares me with her talk of how much she loves and adores me. She’s so full-on that I feel a bit overwhelmed and out of my depth. JANE SAYS: Your girlfriend is clearly a highly sexed, energetic woman, but there are two of you in this relationship and you’re equally entitled to your own pace and opinion.
Of course you love your girl and find her sexy and exciting, but very few people can keep up this level of sexual energy long term.You must calmly tell her you need the occasional breather.
Suggest a sex contract of one night on/ one night off.
Obviously you don’t want to break up, so emphasise that you are a reasonable, grateful but very exhausted guy.
You love her and this doesn’t take anything away from your relationship, but is she willing to see things from your point of view? Sadly, if she isn’t, then you need to talk again.
