- ®Êby STEVE MADELEY

WOLVES boss Nuno Espirito Santo has ordered his players to keep their heads in today’s West Midlands derby against Aston Villa.

Nuno’s side host in-form Villa in the biggest test so far of their promotion credentials.

And the Portuguese boss has warned his players to keep their emotions in check amid a fierce Molineux atmosphere.

“Like every game, we are always nervous but always focused,” he said. “It is an aspect when you have a young squad to be able to control their emotions.

“It is very important to be able to move on from mistakes immediately.

“We have analysed Aston Villa carefully and passed that information on to the players, so from minute one we are ready to play.

“Villa are a good team and an experienced squad but at this stage of the competition there are a lot of teams not there in the table who will come up. So it’s about us.

“I don’t look at the table, it doesn’t mean anything to me.”

Villa are unbeaten in eight Championship matches and have won their last four, climbing into the promotion picture after a poor start to the season.

Boss Steve Bruce said: “It’s obvious we had an awful August but September has been terrific.

“We have been excellent and now we must approach the winter with the same desire.”
