Bandit Clean up with Harry!

-

CLEAN Bandit have written a song for Harry Styles.

The Rockabye hitmakers spent more than two years recording their new album.

And there’s still a One Directionsized hole in the middle of it.

Cellist Grace Chatto told me: “We really want Harry Styles to sing one of the songs that we’ve got.

“I’ve been trying to get in contact with him, but it’s hard.”

Touring

Harry’s touring the UK next week so now’s the time to grab him.

In the meantime, the Bandits drop new song I Miss You today, featuring US star Julia Michaels.

It’s their fifth single with a female lead vocalist on the trot, so what do they have against men’s voices?

Grace explained: “We have actually made a few songs with male singers. We have one with Rhodes, Elton John and Gallant, who is incredible.

“I might try to put those songs together, release all the boy songs before the album because they are all a bit more leftfield.”

I Miss You is a mellower track by the chart-topping act about “the indescribable pain of breaking up with someone”. Julia Michaels is best known for writing Justin Beiber’s huge smash Sorry.

Grace added: “That’s one of my favourite songs of all time. I couldn’t believe it when I first heard it.

“I listened to it everyday for a very long time. It was a real honour to work with her.” Any leftovers for Bieber? Grace laughed: “Hopefully, we will get together again.”
