MAN UNITED have a great home record against Spurs in the Premier League, with 20 wins from the 25 games played.
But they need to bounce back from a poor result in West Yorkshire last week when they got exactly what they deserved against a spirited and well-organised Huddersfield Town.
United are 5-4 favourites at BetVictor to keep the points and they have an unblemished home record this term – winning every game and yet to concede.
United are 14-5 at BetVictor to win to nil but they have yet to meet a side as good as Spurs, who are 13-5.
Romelu Lukaku doesn’t have the best of records against the “big six” sides, averaging a goal every 289 minutes, and hasn’t scored in his last three games. The Belgium striker is 16-5 to open the scoring with BetVictor and even-money to find the back of Hugo Lloris’ net.
Spurs are 10-1 to win the title with United out to 12-1 – Jose Mourinho’s side are not the same outfit without Paul Pogba and there must be a chance that the French midfielder will be back for this severe test of United’s Championship credentials.
The game may be won and lost on the treatment table.
Fernando Llorente does not possess the scoring prowess of Harry Kane, who misses the match because of a hamstring injury, while Pogba is the key for United. If Kane was fit I feel Spurs might have got a draw, but without their star striker I feel United will have too much for the visitors in a tight, low-scoring affair.
United to win 1-0 is 13-2 with BetVictor and that is the recommendation.
If the Old Trafford game looks like being one of few goals and clear-cut chances the same can be said of Southampton’s visit to neighbours Brighton tomorrow.
The Saints have won more league games away this year than at home and have failed to score in nine of their last 15 top-flight games.
The Seagulls have shown at the Amex that they are not afraid to mix it and in Shane Duffy and Lewis Dunk have an outstanding central defensive pairing.
Brighton are 9-4, the Saints 6-4 and the draw at 85-40. Under 2.5 goals is 4-7 so the recommendation is fewer than 1.5 goals in the game, which is 17-10.
The market to be next permanent Everton boss is fascinating – if they get a positive result at Leicester tomorrow then I can see David Unsworth (2-1) getting the job.
Thomas Tuchel, who looks earmarked for Bayern Munich next summer, has drifted to 12-1 but there’s good money for Watford’s Marco Silva (5s). Go to BetVictor.com
