TOM Fletcher has recruited his pals to star in the stage production of The Christmasaurus.
McFly’s drummer and former Strictly Come Dancing winner Harry Judd is dusting off his sparkly waistcoat to dance in the show. Busted/McBusted star Matt Willis is taking on the role of villain the Hunter. And Tom’s wife Giovanna and his sister Carrie will also star alongside the singer when the show arrives at the Apollo London from December 21. After debuting his eccentric character at the launch yesterday, Matt says he is pining for a career in front of the camera.
He told me: “I want to do more acting anyway. Being in a band is very time consuming, it takes over your whole life. But next year I might do some other things while we make the record.
“I’ll be juggling some acting while making the next album I think.”
The Christmasaurus is taking up most of Tom’s time, with The Musical Edition book and soundtrack out on November 16.
But Tom reassured me that McFly will be returning to the studio.
The singer admitted: “McFly is always there for us and now it’s just the case of working out our schedules and seeing when it works.”
